ANA SOFIA OSORNO

Ana Sofía Osorno is a brave and radiant 14-year-old girl who, since birth, has faced great challenges with a smile that inspires everyone who knows her. She lives with cerebral palsy, a condition that affects her mobility and cognitive development. Although she is currently unable to walk, Ana Sofía has an enormous capacity for resilience, tenderness, and determination to move forward.

During her early years, Ana Sofía was able to walk; however, over time and due to the lack of necessary therapeutic support, her muscles began to atrophy, once again limiting her mobility. Today, she is engaged in an ongoing process of specialized therapies, with the hope and goal of regaining her ability to walk—reaffirming that every small step forward matters and that it is never too late to keep fighting.

Through Steps of Hope – Pasos de Esperanza, we have had the privilege of supporting Ana Sofía during deeply meaningful moments in her life. One of the most special was fulfilling her dream of seeing the ocean, an experience that touched her heart and her family’s, giving her joy, a sense of freedom, and unforgettable memories. We have also supported her therapeutic process, firmly believing that access to healthcare and rehabilitation is a fundamental right for every child.

Looking ahead, the foundation is lovingly preparing one of the most important milestones in her life: the celebration of her 15th birthday, scheduled for February 2026. This celebration represents not only a cultural tradition, but also a tribute to her strength, her journey, and everything she has overcome.

Ana Sofía’s story reminds us why we do what we do. She represents hope, perseverance, and the importance of believing in second chances. Her smile is a constant reminder that with support, love, and commitment, dreams truly can come true.
